Road Trip: South Bend, Indiana

In a previous post, I mentioned that Nick and I made a trip to South Bend, Indiana. It was a 5 hour drive there, and a 5 hour drive home. Same day.

A short stop to pick up a special item, a walk across the street to visit the National Honor Park, and lunch at Wendy’s (such foodies, I know!). I have to tell you- it was a long day.

Before I show you the real reason for the trip (such a tease), I am going to share some pictures along the way!
Please keep in mind, I am in a moving vehicle, and I’m not the greatest photographer!

The reason I waited to post this, is because we wanted to surprise Nick’s brother. He lives out of state and is visiting this weekend.

Have a safe, and fun, holiday weekend everyone!

Photo Friday

Hello there!

I’m going to start posting pictures on Friday’s. Just to mix it up a little. Oh, and to help me learn more about my camera.

One thing I learned this week: my guy, Nick, kindly pointed out that the camera has a zoom on it…who knew? (obviously not me)

Week Two…10,000 Steps

Pedometers were read and reset today for our walking competition. Due to the upcoming holiday, our numbers were taken a day early. I have to say that I was slacking this week. Oh, and the battery died on my pedometer, so I lost steps because of that. But honestly, I just wasn’t as active as I should have been. It’s been a very busy baking week for me. While I know exercise should be a priority, it seems to be the 1st thing I’ll set aside in order to accomplish something else.

Well, we are coming up on a long holiday weekend, so I need to make the time to put some miles in. I have a half-marathon coming up in 3 more weeks, and I need to get my butt in gear.

Sorry- my mind wandered a little.

Anyways, Dan won the competition this week. With 217,000 steps…he rocked!

This weeks winner!

To keep him in my sight, I need to step up (pun intended!) my game. My steps for the week: 134,034.

Recorded and reset on Tuesday

Recorded for weekly tally

Next check in is Friday the 9th.
How do you make exercise a priority?
