Another week…another weekly running recap!
Sunday: 45 minute walk
Monday: 20 minute run
Tuesday: 25 minute HIIT
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: 35 minute run
Friday: 25 minute HIIT, 100 crunches, 20 push-ups
Saturday: 8 mile run
I’ve been lucky enough to be able to do my normal runs outside this week. However, I am still doing the HIIT runs on the treadmill, as I find it is easier to push the pace.
Running outside, in the warmer weather, means I have to give a little more thought to the run. Things like: did I drink enough water the day before? How much water should I take with me for the run? Am I wearing the right clothes (I am a cold person, so I tend to wear more clothes then I really need to)? Did I apply sunscreen?
They are small questions, but the answers can make such a difference to how the run feels!
For the runners- what about you? Are there certain things you do differently when running in the warm weather? How do you train in the heat?
